The team at ResumeRenovator has a combined 25+ years of experience in Human Resources & Recruitment. Having worked in “hiring & firing” capacities in a variety of industries we have interviewed a lot of candidates and seen a lot of resumes. From artful, expensive ‘custom made’ resumes to ‘free online template’ resumes, we have seen them all! Using this knowledge we were able to identify & base our ResumeRenovator template on two key factors: Successful Applicant Trends & Reader Psychology.
Successful Applicant Trends:
When looking back through databases & profiles of candidates who were successful in securing interviews, we recognised that they all had similarities in their resume & writing style. We then ranked the effectiveness of these styles & techniques and blended the top performing aspects of them all to create our template.
Reader Psychology:
Knowing how we and other HR & Recruitment professionals make decisions & react to reading candidate resumes has enabled us inform our customers how to optimise their resume to form a connection with the reader (AKA the person hiring!). This connection often leads to ‘deeper reading,’ which consequently increases intrigue, resulting in an increased chance of an interview.
